Dizziness Mini Series
Presented by Physical Therapist Sydnee Yancey
Dizziness is a term used to describe a range of sensations, such as feeling lightheaded, unsteady, or faint. It can result from various causes, including inner ear problems, low blood pressure, dehydration, or even anxiety. Dizziness can affect a person’s balance, making simple tasks like walking, standing, or driving difficult and potentially dangerous. For some, it may be a temporary issue, while for others, it can become a chronic condition, significantly impacting daily life. When severe, dizziness can lead to falls, accidents, and a decreased quality of life, highlighting the importance of understanding its causes and managing its effects.
There are many factors and conditions that may contribute dizziness along with various treatments that are personalized to each patient. In our Dizziness Mini Series, Physical Therapist, Sydnee Yancey, will discuss common causes of dizziness, going in-depth into each cause and share how they can be treated with physical therapy.
